In 1924, Mary Rovilla Pollard deeded to her daughter, Lyda Belle Pollard, her interest in land she inherited from her mother. Belle sold the land and used the proceeds to help pay for her college education. This deed was in the posession of Belle Pollard at the time of her death. Her niece, Georgia (Young) Weinstein kept Belle's papers after her death, and in 1993, this deed was given to Georgia's daughter, Cheryl Freeman.
