His given age was 24 and his given place of birth was South Carolina. He was a planter and the value of his real estate was $220. Also enumerated in his household was Mary Freeman.1
Isaac Freeman was enumerated on the agriculture schedule of 29 August 1850 at Richland District, South Carolina, as "Isaac Freeman", the owner, agent or manager of a farm. His farm contained 10 acres of improved land and 65 acres of unimproved land, with a cash value of $75. He owned farm implements and tools valued at $10. He had 1 ass or mule, 2 milch (sic) cows, 2 other cattle and 9 swine, all valued at $140. His farm contained 100 bushels of Indian corn, 20 bushels of peas and beans, 150 bushels of sweet potatoes, 50 pounds of butter, and one bale of hay.3
