Mary Ess1

     Mary Ess was born circa 1851 at Germany.1 Mary married Philip Shafer.2 Mary died in May 1933 at Missouri.3 She was buried at New Hope Cemetery in Randolph County, Missouri.3
     

Mary was widowed before 1920 when her husband Philip Shafer died.4

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. Mary was enumerated in the household of Mary Ess as her aunt, "Mary Drafer", at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri. Her given age was 69 and her given place of birth was Germany. She was a widow.1
