     John Rippetoe Crosswhite was born circa 1807 at Kentucky.3 He was the son of William Crosswhite and Mary Lampton.2 John Rippetoe married Rosetta Mosley on 30 March 1834 at Boone County, Missouri.4 John died on 22 February 1880 at Missouri.5 He was buried at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.6

     Sarah Ann Crosswhite was born on 24 October 1840 at Boone County, Missouri.4,1,5 She was the daughter of John Rippetoe Crosswhite and Rosetta Mosley.3,1,4 Sarah Ann married James Perry Pollard, son of Reuben Pollard and Rebecca Brink, on 3 October 1855 at Audrain County, Missouri, in a ceremony performed by Reverend William R. The eighth United States census was taken in 1860. Sarah was enumerated as "Sarah A. Pollard", in the household of James Perry Pollard at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. Her given age was 19 and her given place of birth was Missouri.9

Sarah Ann Crosswhite was a cograntor in the conveyance of 540 acres at Boone County, Missouri, to John Pollard on 1 March 1866. The land had been inherited from Reuben Pollard.10

The thirteenth United States census was taken in 1910. Sarah was enumerated in the household of James Perry Pollard as his wife, "Sarah A. Polard", at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. Her given age was 70 and her given place of birth was Missouri. She had been married for 52 years and was the mother of six children, four of whom were living.11

Her obituary appeared in the newspaper at Boone County, Missouri. James Perry Pollard, Geneva Rebecca Hall, Rosetta Smith and Katherine Noe were named as survivors. John Reuben Pollard and Lucy N. Hulen preceded Sarah in death.2

     David Croswhite was born circa 1820 at Kentucky.1 He was the son of William Crosswhite and Mary Haggerty.2 David married first Celia Jane Turner, daughter of Andrew Turner and Mary Harris, on 31 December 1844 at Audrain County, Missouri. John Flanary Justice of the Peace married the couple.3 David married second Eliza Hathman on 15 April 1846 at Boone County, Missouri.3
