     Richard Cox was born circa 1688.² He was the son of John Cox and Rachel Embree Carr.¹ Richard married Elizabeth Scarlet in 1726 at Delaware County, Pennsylvania. William Cox and Thomas Cox were witnesses.³

     Robert W. Cox was born on 22 May 1837 at Missouri.^6,7 He was the son of Solomon Cox and Deborah Collins.^4,5,2,3 Robert W. married Lucy Fleming on 13 May 1875 at Lafayette County, Missouri. The couple was married by John O. Shackleford.¹ Robert died on 5 June 1883 at age 46 years and 14 days at Missouri.⁶ He was buried at Dover Cemetery in Dover, Lafayette County, Missouri.⁸

     Samuel married Mary Turner, daughter of Cornelius B. Turner and Sarah Sweeney, on 2 May 1811 at Warren County, Kentucky, in a ceremony performed by Edward Turner.^1,2
     

Samuel and Mary Turner obtained a marriage bond at Warren County, Kentucky. John Cox signed the bond as surety with Samuel Cox. "Phinahas Cos" (sic), father of the groom, gave consent for Samuel Cox, and the bride's consent was given by her father, Cornelius Turner.¹
