He was a house carpenter. He rented his lodgings at 20 Garden Street in Boston, and he spoke English. He was living alone.10

Joe returned to Russia to be with his family after 10 June 1910.

Joe and Tobby Goldenberg immigrated again to Boston, Massachusetts, the United States from Russia circa 1911. On the crossing back to the United States, all their possessions were stolen.1

Joe Weinstein filed a Declaration of Intention on 13 June 1921 at St. Louis, (Independent City), Missouri. Following is a transcription of part of his Declaration.
"I, Sheeka Weinstein, also known as Joe Weinstein, aged 48 years, occupation Porter do declare on oath...I was born in Grovno, Russia on the --- day of --- anno Domini 1873: I now reside at 4412 Evans Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri. I emigrated to the United States of America from Liverpool, England on the vessel Baltic; my last foreign residence was Grovno, Russia; I am married; the name of my wife is Tubie; She was born at Berdichov, Russia and now resides with me...I arrived at the port of Boston in the State of Massachusetts, on or about the 10th day of June, anno Domini 1912...so help me God. (signed) Sheeka Weinstein"
