Mariah Cowen was born between 1809 and 1810 at Kentucky.2,3 Conflicting evidence places her birth circa 1812.4 Mariah married first Madison Dysert on 20 September 1828 at Kentucky.5 Mariah married second Thomas Turner, son of Thomas Turner and Nelly Dill, on 7 April 1842 at Boone County, Missouri. Peter Kemper married the couple.6 Mariah died on 16 April 1892 at Missouri.4,7 She was buried at Old Gilead Cemetery in Boone County, Missouri.4
