     Cornelius B. Turner was born on 13 July 1770 at Rowan County, North Carolina.4 He was the son of John Turner and Rebecca Smith.2,3 Cornelius B. Turner married first Sarah Sweeney on 17 August 1794 at Madison County, Kentucky.5,6 Cornelius B. Turner married second Sarah Simpson on 26 May 1823 at Warren County, Kentucky.7 Cornelius died on 22 August 1835 at age 65 years, 1 month and 9 days at Kentucky.4 He was buried at in Warren County, Kentucky.4
     

Cornelius appeared on the tax list of 1795 at Madison County, Kentucky, as "Cornelius Turner".8

Cornelius appeared on the tax list of 12 August 1800 at Madison County, Kentucky, as "Cornelius Turner".9

Cornelius acquired 215 acres where he was presently living Warren County, Kentucky from Charles M. Ransdell 27 August 1813 Charles Ransdell gave Power of Attorney to his friend Whorton Ransell to make this deed in his name to Cornelius Turner. There were no witnesses.10

Cornelius B. Turner was named as an heir in the will of John Turner on 3 December 1813 at Madison County, Kentucky.11

Cornelius acquired for $10.00, 152 acres "in the knobs of the hills between where said Turner now lives and Col Fenis Cox" adjoining John Loving Kentucky from Charles M. Ransdell 13 September 1815 The deed was not witnessed.12

Cornelius B. Turner signed the marriage bond of David Stahl as surety on 19 April 1819 at Warren County, Kentucky.1

The fifth United States Census was taken in 1830. Cornelius was enumerated as "Cornelius Turner", head of a household at Warren County, Kentucky. His household consisted of one male of 60 and under 70, one female of 5 and under 10, one female of 20 and under 30, and one female of 40 and under 50.13

Cornelius made a will on 14 August 1833 at Warren County, Kentucky. His will was recorded in September, 1835.14
