Descendant Chart for Thomas Turner

     Augustus Turner was born on 22 October 1812 at Madison County, Kentucky.^3,4 He was the son of Enoch Turner and Susannah B. Toalson.² Augustus Turner married first Sedona Hill, daughter of John Hill and Rebecca Brink, circa 1832 at Audrain County, Missouri.⁵ Augustus Turner married second Sabina Emily Hill, daughter of John Hill and Rebecca Brink, on 27 May 1858 at Boone County, Missouri.² Augustus died on 20 January 1893 at age 80 years, 2 months and 29 days at Missouri.⁶ He was buried at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.⁶
     

Augustus Turner was named as an heir in the will of Enoch Turner at Boone County, Missouri.⁷

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. Augustus was enumerated as "Augustus Turner", head of a household at Audrain County, Missouri. His given age was 38 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer, and the value of his real estate was $1,500. Also enumerated in his household were Sedona Turner, Sarah Rebecca Turner, Susan A. Turner, James Foster Turner, Mary T. Turner and Queen Victoria Turner.¹

At the age of 45, Augustus was widowed 21 November 1857 when his wife Sedona died at Boone County, Missouri.²

The ninth United States census was taken in 1870. Augustus was enumerated as "Augustus Turner" at Audrain County, Missouri. His given age was 62 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $5,000 and the value of his personal estate was $1,450.⁸

The tenth United States census was taken in 1880. Augustus was enumerated as "Gus Turner", head of a household at Saling Township, at Audrain County, Missouri. His given age was 67 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was living alone.⁹
