     Catherine Burkey was born on 18 March 1820 at Hesse-Darmstadt.4 She was the daughter of Peter Burkey and Barbara Wick.2,3 Catherine married Christian Miller on 6 June 1841 at Audrain County, Missouri, in a ceremony performed by John Flanary Justice of the Peace. The couple was married at the home of Henry Ess.1 Catherine died on 29 June 1903 at age 83 years, 3 months and 11 days at Audrain County, Missouri.5 She was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.6
     

Catherine was also known as Kitty Burkey.3
