     Opal Thompson was born on 29 May 1897 at Monroe County, Missouri.^4,5 She was the daughter of James A. Thompson and Alice Haley.^1,2,3,4 Opal Thompson married Frank Cox Pollard, son of Walter Harris Pollard and Mary Rovilla Cox, on 3 July 1918 at Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. The couple was married by T. Herison.^1,6,4 Opal died on 18 May 1975 at age 77 years, 11 months and 19 days at Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri.^7,4,6 She was buried on 21 May 1975 at in Marion County, Missouri.^8,7
     

The twelfth United States census was taken in 1900. Opal was enumerated in the household of James A. Thompson as his daughter, "Opal Thompson", at Union Township, at Monroe County, Missouri. Her given age was 3, and she was said to have been born in Missouri in May 1897.² (Click on the icon to see the image.).⁹

The thirteenth United States census was taken in 1910. Opal was enumerated in the household of James A. Thompson as his daughter, "Opal Thompson", at Union Township, at Monroe County, Missouri. Her given age was 12 and her given place of birth was Missouri. She attended school.³

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. Opal was enumerated in the household of Frank Cox Pollard as his wife, "Opal Pollard", at Bourbon Township, at Boone County, Missouri. Her given age was 22, and she was said to have been born in Missouri.¹⁰

The cause of Opal's death was cancer.⁷

Her obituary appeared in the newspaper at Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri. Frank Cox Pollard, Iris Ithema Pollard and Archie Vernon Pollard were named as survivors.⁴ (Click on the icon to see the image.).⁴
