     James A. Thompson was born in July 1867 at Missouri.2 He married Alice Haley between 1895 and 1896 at Missouri.1,2

     Opal Thompson was born on 29 May 1897 at Monroe County, Missouri.4,5 She was the daughter of James A. Thompson and Alice Haley.1,2,3,4 Opal Thompson married Frank Cox Pollard, son of Walter Harris Pollard and Mary Rovilla Cox, on 3 July 1918 at Moberly, Randolph County, Missouri. The couple was married by T. Herison.1,6,4 Opal died on 18 May 1975 at age 77 years, 11 months and 19 days at Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri.7,4,6 She was buried on 21 May 1975 at in Marion County, Missouri.8,7

The cause of Opal's death was cancer.7
