     Ruth Ann Pollard was born circa 1838 at Kentucky.2 She was the daughter of James T. Pollard and Elizabeth Terrill.2 Ruth Ann Pollard married Alfred Preston on 14 March 1860 at Garrard County, Kentucky. The couple was married by A. Adams, Reformed Christian.3 Ruth died before 1890.4

     Samuel C. Pollard was born on 15 May 1854 at Garrard County, Kentucky.2 He was the son of Absolom Pollard and Winefred Webb.1 Samuel C. Pollard married Leanner H. Naylor, daughter of George Naylor and Sarah Comely, on 2 October 1877 at Garrard County, Kentucky.3 Samuel died on 16 September 1924 at age 70 years, 4 months and 1 day at Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky.4 He was buried on 18 September 1924 at in Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.1
     

His obituary appeared on 19 September 1924 in the newspaper at Harrodsburg. Benjamin F. Pollard, Robert Miller Pollard and Sallie P. Pollard were named as survivors. Leanner H. Naylor preceded Samuel in death.1
