     Perry Thornton Pollard Sr. was born circa 1844 at Kentucky.2 He was the son of Staunton Pollard and Elizabeth King.2 Perry Thornton Pollard Sr. married first Sarah Ann Severance on 17 September 1867 at Lincoln County, Kentucky.1 Perry Thornton Pollard Sr. married second Nancy C. Brown on 20 February 1894 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.3 Perry Thornton Pollard Sr. married third Dora E. Ketchem on 19 July 1917 at Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky.4 Perry Thornton Pollard Sr. died circa 1923 at Pulaski County, Kentucky.5 He was buried at in Garrard County, Kentucky.6

     Reuben Pollard was born on 31 December 1798 at Garrard County, Kentucky.4,5,6 He was the son of Absolom Pollard and Leanna Banks.4 Reuben Pollard married Rebecca Brink in May 1822 at Fayette County, Kentucky.7,4 Reuben died on 22 December 1864 at age 65 years, 11 months and 22 days at Boone County, Missouri.8 He was buried at in Boone County, Missouri.9,10
     

Reuben and Rebecca Brink obtained a marriage bond on 13 May 1822 at Fayette County, Kentucky. Isaac Brink signed the bond as surety with Reuben. Isaac Brink affirmed that Rebecca was 21 years of age.7,4

The fifth United States Census was taken in 1830. Reuben was enumerated as "Reuben Pollard", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. His household consisted of 3 males under 5 years of age, one male of 30 and under 40 years, two females of 10 and under 15 years, one female of 10 and under 15 years, one female of 15 and under 20 years, and one female of 30 and under 40 years.1

Reuben was one of 869 original donors who pledged $10 for the new University in 1839. These donations enabled Columbia to be selected in 1839 as the site for the University of Missouri.11

The sixth United States Census was taken in 1840. Reuben was enumerated as "Reuben Pollard", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. At the age of 58, Reuben was widowed 26 June 1857 when his wife Rebecca died at Boone County, Missouri.4

The eighth United States census was taken in 1860. Reuben was enumerated as "Reuben Pollard", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 56 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $2,500 and the value of his personal estate was $2,500. He was not able to read or write. Also enumerated in his household were Absolom D. Pollard and Jackson B. Pollard.3

Pollard and Elizabeth Terrill.1 Robert Pollard married Lucy Jane Bourne on 28 March 1858 at Garrard County, Kentucky. Judge James Patterson married the couple.2 Robert Pollard died between 1890 and 1900 at Garrard County, Kentucky.3
