     Mary Ruth Pollard was born on 23 October 1907 at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Leonidas Pollard and Lizzie May Burkeye.^2,3,1 Mary Ruth Pollard married Arnold Brown in 1927 at Missouri.⁴ Mary died in November 1997 at age 90 years at Missouri.⁵
     

The thirteenth United States census was taken in 1910. Mary was enumerated in the household of Charles Leonidas Pollard as his daughter, "Mary R. Pollard", at Saling Township, at Audrain County, Missouri. Her given age was 2 and her given place of birth was Missouri.²

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. Mary was enumerated in the household of Charles Leonidas Pollard as his daughter, "Mary R. Pollard", at Saling Township, at Audrain County, Missouri. Her given age was 12 and her given place of birth was Missouri. She attended school.³

The fifteenth United States census was taken in 1930. Mary was enumerated in the household of Arnold Brown as his wife, "Mary Brown", at Saling Township, at Audrain County, Missouri.
