     John Reuben Pollard was born on 12 February 1861 at Boone County, Missouri.1 He was the son of James Perry Pollard and Sarah Ann Crosswhite.1 John Reuben Pollard married David Ella Tucker, daughter of William Warren Tucker and Martha Blackwell Woodruff, on 22 February 1882 at Boone County, Missouri.4 John died on 6 May 1912 at age 51 years, 2 months and 24 days at Boone County, Missouri.1 (Click on the icon to see the image.).1 He was buried on 7 May 1912 at in Boone County, Missouri.1
     

John was also known as Ruby Pollard.2

The twelfth United States census was taken in 1900. John was enumerated as "John R. Pollard", head of a household at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 39, and he was said to have been born in Missouri in February 1861. He had been married for 18 years, and he was a farmer on a farm he owned. Enumerated with him was his wife, David Ella Pollard. Also enumerated in his household were Rosalie Pollard, Glenn Tucker Pollard and Robert Searcy Pollard.5

Enumerated with him was his wife, David Ella Pollard. Also enumerated in his household was Robert Searcy Pollard.6

The cause of John's death was acute peritonitis.1

His obituary appeared in the newspaper at Boone County, Missouri. David Ella Pollard, Rosalie Hall, Glenn Tucker Pollard, Robert Searcy Pollard, Geneva Rebecca Hall, Katherine Noe and Rosetta Smith were named as survivors.2
