     Ella Alta Pollard was born on 24 July 1864 at Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.2 She was the daughter of Telephus Thompson Pollard and Francis Ann Floyd.2 Ella Alta Pollard married James Thomas Cecil on 1 September 1884 at Garrard County, Kentucky.3 Ella died on 8 May 1937 at age 72 years, 9 months and 14 days at Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky.2 She was buried at Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky.4

     Ellis Garrison Pollard was born on 7 April 1886 at Monroe County, Missouri.5,6,7,8 He was the son of Walter Harris Pollard and Mary Rovilla Cox.1,3,4 Conflicting evidence places his birth on 4 July 1886 at Monroe County, Missouri.9 Ellis Garrison Pollard married Bessie Lee Dulaney, daughter of Joseph Edwards Dulaney and Mattie Terry, on 25 December 1912 at Monroe County, Missouri, in a ceremony performed by Joe Robinson. The couple was married near Clark, Missouri by Minister Joe Robinson.8,10 Ellis died on 18 February 1961 at age 74 years, 10 months and 11 days at Missouri.11,5 He was buried at in Audrain County, Missouri.5
     

The twelfth United States census was taken in 1900. Ellis was enumerated in the household of Walter Harris Pollard as his son, "Ellis G. Pollard", at Union Township, at Monroe County, Missouri. His given age was 13, and he was said to have been born in Missouri in July 1886. He attended school.3

The thirteenth United States census was taken in 1910. Ellis was enumerated in the household of Walter Harris Pollard as his son, "Ellis G. Pollard", at Union Township, at Monroe County, Missouri. His given age was 23 and his given place of birth was Missouri. He was single, and he was a farm laborer on a home farm.4

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. Ellis was enumerated as "Ellis Pollard", head of a household at Bourbon Township, Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 31, and he was said to have been born in Missouri. He was married, and was an auto mechanic at a shop. He rented his home. Enumerated with him was his wife, Bessie Lee Pollard.12

At the age of at an unknown age , Ellis was widowed 1927 when his wife Bessie died at Audrain County, Missouri.5
