     William R. Winn was born on 29 August 1801 at Kentucky.1,2 William R. married Mary Park, daughter of Jonathan Park and Katherine Turner.3,4 William died on 11 November 1894 at age 93 years, 2 months and 13 days at Missouri.1 He was buried at the Old Winn Cemetery in Sturgeon, Boone County, Missouri.1
     

The fifth United States Census was taken in 1830. William was enumerated as "William Winn", head of a household at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. His household consisted of 3 males under 5 years of age, one male of 20 and under 30 years, and one female of 30 and under 40 years.5

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. William was enumerated as "Wm Winn", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 48 and his given place of birth was Kentucky.
