Mordecai Turner was born between 1815 and 1816 at Kentucky.1,4 He was the son of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Newland.2,3 Mordecai married Arathusa Jane Hubbard, daughter of Durnett Hubbard, on 15 October 1840 at Boone County, Missouri.5 Mordecai died on 18 April 1899 at Audrain County, Missouri.6 He was buried at Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Boone County, Missouri.7
