     Samuel Turner was born circa 1819 at Kentucky.1 He was the son of William Turner and Elizabeth Crooks.2 Samuel married first Sarah Fowler on 13 December 1840 at Pettis County, Missouri.2 Samuel married second Millie Emily Hulen on 7 June 1845 at Boone County, Missouri.3 Samuel died on 5 January 1899 at Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri.4,5 He was buried at Lockridge Cemetery in Audrain County, Missouri.4
     

Samuel was widowed on 19 May 1843 when his wife Sarah died at Boone County, Missouri.6

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. Samuel was enumerated as "Samuel Turner", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 31 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer and the value of his real estate was $500. Also enumerated in his household were Millie Emily Turner, Ann C. Hayden, William G. Hayden, Elizabeth Turner, Taylor O. Turner and John F. Turner.1

His obituary appeared on 5 January 1899 in the newspaper the "Daily Intelligencer" at Audrain County, Missouri. James Curtis Turner, Martha E. Williams and Allie Margaret Turner were named as survivors. Millie Emily Turner preceded Samuel in death.4
