     Medora Turner was born circa 1856 at Missouri.2 She was the daughter of Alexander John Turner and Catherine Vance.2 Medora married James Fabricius Keith on 8 October 1874 at Boone County, Missouri.3 Medora died on 2 June 1937 at Sturgeon, Boone County, Missouri.4 She was buried at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.1
     

Medora was also known as Dora Turner.1

The ninth United States census was taken in 1870. Medora was enumerated as "Madra Turner", in the household of Alexander John Turner at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri. Her given age was 14 and her given place of birth was Missouri.2

Medora was widowed on 25 April 1914 when her husband James died at Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, (Independent City), Missouri.5

     Mordecai Turner was born between 1815 and 1816 at Kentucky.4,5 He was the son of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Newland.2,3 Mordecai married Arathusa Jane Hubbard, daughter of Durnett Hubbard, on 15 October 1840 at Boone County, Missouri.6 Mordecai died on 18 April 1899 at age 83 years, 5 months and 15 days at Audrain County, Missouri.7 He was buried at Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Boone County, Missouri.8

Mordecai went to California at the time of the Gold Rush in 1850.3

The eighth United States census was taken in 1860. Mordecai was enumerated as "Mordica Turner", head of a household at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 45 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $3,000 and the value of his personal estate was $3,000. Also enumerated in his household were Arathusa Jane Turner, Mary Frances Turner, Sarah A. Turner, Elizabeth N. Turner, James Perry Turner, Durret T. Turner, George W. Turner, Eliza J. Turner and Amanda T. Turner.5

His obituary appeared on 21 April 1899 in the newspaper "Columbia Missouri Herald" at Columbia, Boone County, Missouri.10 His obituary also appeared on 21 April 1899 in the newspaper the Daily Intelligencer at Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri. Following is a transcription of the obituary:
Mortica Turner died at his home five miles south of here, this afternoon of grip, after a brief illness. He came to Boone Co. from Kentucky 50 years ago.7
