     Gabriel Turner was born between 1811 and 1820.1 He was the son of Smith Turner and Nancy Ragsdale.2 Gabriel married Mary Haden on 7 November 1847 at Boone County, Missouri.3 Gabriel died in October 1864 at Mexico, Audrain County, Missouri.4
     

The sixth United States Census was taken in 1840. Gabriel was enumerated as "Gabriel Turner", head of a household at Boone County, Missouri. His household consisted of one male of 20 and under 30 years of age, and one male of 30 and under 40 years of age.1

Gabriel went to California at the time of the Gold Rush in 1850.5
