Cornelius B. Turner was born on 13 July 1770 at Rowan County, North Carolina.4 He was the son of John Turner and Rebecca Smith.2,3 Cornelius B. married first Sarah Sweeney on 17 August 1794 at Madison County, Kentucky.5,6 Cornelius B. married second Sarah Simpson on 1 June 1823 at Warren County, Kentucky.7 Cornelius died on 22 August 1835 at age 65 years, 1 month and 9 days at Kentucky.4 He was buried at Turner-Mitchell Cemetery in Warren County, Kentucky.4
Cornelius appeared on the tax list of 1795 at Madison County, Kentucky, as "Cornelius Turner".8
