     John Young Batterton was born between 1826 and 1828 at Missouri.4,5 He was the son of Lemuel Batterton and Mary A. Lynch.3 John married Elizabeth Young Turner, daughter of James Turner and Verlinda Hocker, on 6 July 1854 at Howard County, Missouri.6 John died on 12 October 1908 at Deer Lodge, Powell County, Montana.7 He was buried on 15 October 1908 at Deer Lodge, Powell County, Montana.7
