     Rosetta Pollard was born on 4 April 1870 at Boone County, Missouri.2 She was the daughter of James Perry Pollard and Sarah Ann Crosswhite.1 Rosetta married Dr. Sidney J. Smith on 17 October 1899.2 Rosetta died on 30 December 1950 at age 80 years, 8 months and 26 days at La Jolla, California.2

     Samuel C. Pollard was born on 15 May 1854 at Garrard County, Kentucky.2 He was the son of Absolom Pollard and Winefred Webb.1 Samuel C. married Leanner H. Naylor, daughter of George Naylor and Sarah Comely, on 2 October 1877 at Garrard County, Kentucky.2 Samuel died on 16 September 1924 at age 70 years, 4 months and 1 day at Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky.2 He was buried on 18 September 1924 at Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.1
     

His obituary appeared on 19 September 1924 in the newspaper at Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Benjamin F. Pollard, Robert Miller Pollard and Sallie P. Pollard were named as survivors. Leanner H. Naylor preceded Samuel in death.1
