     Elizabeth M. Banks was born circa 1842 at Missouri.¹ She was the daughter of William Mills Banks and Jane Cotton.¹

     Gerrard Banks was born circa 1705 at Virginia.¹ Gerrard married Ann Stanton circa 1736.² Gerrard died in 1780 at Amherst County, Virginia.¹
     

Gerrard and Ann Banks purchased one half of a parcel of woodland containing 490 acres at St. Mark's Parish, Orange County, Virginia, from Thomas Stanton 20 October 1736.³

Gerrard Banks appeared on the rent rolls of 1764 at Culpeper County in Virginia as "Gerrard Banks, Jr."⁴

Gerrard made a will on 7 February 1780 at Amherst County, Virginia, in which he left property to Ann Banks, William Banks, Reuben Banks, Thomas Banks, Mary Banks, Sarah Banks, Linn Banks, Elizabeth Hume, Rachel Higginbotham and Gerard Banks.⁵

     Gerrard Banks was born on 4 August 1782 at Fauquier County, Virginia.³ He was the son of Linn Banks and Sarah Proctor.² Gerrard married Elizabeth Mills on 6 February 1805 at Garrard County, Kentucky.² Gerrard died on 12 March 1870 at age 87 years, 7 months and 8 days at Emerson, Marion County, Missouri.³

Banks was born on 7 July 1818 at Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.^2,3 He was the son of Gerrard Banks and Elizabeth Mills.² Henry P. married Nancy Turpin on 28 December 1837 at Marion County, Missouri.⁴ Henry died on 17 January 1904 at age 85 years, 6 months and 10 days at Emerson, Marion County, Missouri.²

His given age was 31 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a wagon and plow maker, and the value of his real estate was $500. Also enumerated in his household were Nancy Banks, Gerrard Banks, Talitha Banks, Thomas Banks, Achilles Banks and Linn Banks.¹

     Leanna Banks was born between 1763 and 1769 at Amherst County, Virginia.³ She was the daughter of Linn Banks and Sarah Proctor.² Leanna married Absolom Pollard, son of James Pollard and Susannah (?), on 12 February 1782 at Amherst County, Virginia.^4,3 Leanna died on 3 January 1845 at Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.¹

Leanna Pollard was named as an heir in the will of Linn Banks on 27 December 1799 at Garrard County, Kentucky.⁵

Leanna was widowed on 29 August 1832 when her husband Absolom died at Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.^6,7

Administration was granted for the estate of Leanna Banks. John Hill and John Pollard were appointed administrators of the estate of Leanna Pollard, but since both had died by Mar 1854, James M. Pollard was appointed the administrator.⁸

     Linn Banks was born circa 1745 at Virginia.¹ He was the son of Gerrard Banks and Ann Stanton.¹ Linn married Sarah Proctor at Virginia.¹ Linn died at Kentucky.¹
     

Linn served in the military in the Virginia Colonial Militia, as a Sargeant under the command of Col. William Byrd in 1760.²

Linn moved to Lincoln County (later Garrard County), Kentucky from Fauquier County, Virginia in 1786. He lived 4 miles north of Lancaster, the county seat. He also owned land on Green River in Kentucky.⁴

Linn and Sarah Proctor conveyed 25 acres at Fauquier County, Virginia, to Lindsey Coleman 8 October 1787.⁵

Linn conveyed 45 acres at Fauquier County, Virginia, to Nathaniel Maniply 9 October 1787.⁵

The first United States census was taken in 1790. Linn may have lived at Lincoln County, Virginia, but the 1790 federal census was lost for all counties in Virginia.⁶

Linn made a will on 27 December 1799 at Garrard County, Kentucky, in which he left property to Sarah Banks, Mary Mayfield, William Banks, John Banks, Gerrard Banks, Leanna Pollard, Sarah Poindexter, Lucy Marksberry, Cevina Taylor, Susannah Nanks, Nancy Wilson and Sophia Banks . His executors were William, John and Garrard Banks. The will was witnessed by John Bryant, William Steen and Isaac Marksberry.⁷
