     John Pollard was born on 27 April 1827 at Kentucky.6,7 He was the son of Reuben Pollard and Rebecca Brink.1,5 John married Charlotte Elizabeth Turner, daughter of Andrew Turner and Mary Harris, on 29 September 1853 at Audrain County, Missouri.8 John died on 22 December 1905 at age 78 years, 7 months and 25 days at Missouri of pneumonia.9,6 He was buried at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri.6
     

The eighth United States census was taken in 1860. John was enumerated as "John Pollard", head of a household at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. His given age was 32 and his given place of birth was Missouri. He was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $2,500 and his personal estate was valued at $2,100. Also enumerated in his household were Elizabeth Pollard and Walter Harris Pollard.4

John Pollard acquired 540 acres at Boone County, Missouri, from Thomas W. Hulen, Nancy Pollard, James Perry Pollard, Sarah Ann Crosswhite, Jackson B. Pollard, Absolom D. Pollard, Marcus Pollard and Mary Ann Baker on 1 March 1866. The land had been inherited from Reuben Pollard.10 (Click on the icon to see the image.).10

John moved to Boone County, Missouri from Monroe County, Missouri in 1868.11

The ninth United States census was taken in 1870. John was enumerated as "Jno Pollard", head of a household at Middle Grove, Monroe County, Missouri. His given age was 42 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer. The value of his real estate was $3,000 and the value of his personal estate was $1,500. Also enumerated in his household were Elizabeth Pollard, Walter Harris Pollard, George Andrew Lee Pollard, Cora Bell Pollard and Absolom D. Pollard.12

The tenth United States census was taken in 1880. John was enumerated as "Jno Pollard", head of a household at Union Township, Monroe County, Missouri. His given age was 52 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a farmer. Enumerated with him was his wife, Elizabeth Pollard. Also enumerated in his household were Walter Harris Pollard, George Andrew Lee Pollard, Cora Bell Pollard and Absolom D. Pollard.13

The twelfth United States census was taken in 1900. John was enumerated in the household of Walter Harris Pollard as his father, "John Pollard", at Union Township, Monroe County, Missouri. His given age was 73, and he was said to have been born in Kentucky in April 1827. He had been married for 46 years.14

His obituary appeared on 28 December 1905 in the newspaper "Sturgeon Missouri Leader" at Sturgeon, Boone County, Missouri. Walter H. Pollard, George A. Pollard and Cora Winn were named as survivors.      John Pollard was born in 1788 at Kentucky.1 He was the son of Absolom Pollard and Leanna Banks.2 John married Elizabeth Langley on 9 March 1820 at Garrard County, Kentucky.3 John married Ann Thompson.4 John died on 25 February 1853 at age 65 years at Garrard County, Kentucky.3 He was buried at Collier-Banks Cemetery in Garrard County, Kentucky.2

     John Thompson Pollard was born in 1839 at Kentucky.2 John Thompson married Margaret Brinckerhoff on 8 October 1861.1 John died on 18 January 1915 at age 76 years at Humboldt County, California.3

Ben L. Smith.5,6 John died on 8 August 1976 at age 87 years, 11 months and 26 days at Boone County Hospital, in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri.7 He was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri.7
     

John was also known as Hack Pollard. He was also called Ode Pollard.8

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. John was enumerated as "John O. Pollard", head of a household at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri. His given age was 30, and he was said to have been born in Missouri. He was a farmer on a general farm which he rented. Enumerated with him was his wife, Alta Lucretia Pollard.9

The fifteenth United States census was taken in 1930. John was enumerated as "John Pollard", head of a household at Macon, Macon County, Missouri. His given age was 40 and his given place of birth was Missouri. He was married when he was 23 years of age, and was a carpenter n the house industry. He rented his home for $16, and he did not live on a farm. He was not a veteran. Enumerated with him was his wife, Alta Lucretia Pollard.10

     John William Pollard was born circa 1838 at Kentucky.3 He was the son of Staunton Pollard and Elizabeth King.3 John William married first Elizabeth Stewart on 17 June 1858 at Garrard County, Kentucky.4 John William married second Louisa (?) after 1880.2 John died after 1920 at Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.1
     

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. John was enumerated as "Wm Pollard", in the household of Staunton Pollard at Lincoln County, Kentucky. His given age was 12 and his given place of birth was Kentucky.3

The tenth United States census was taken in 1880. John was enumerated as "John W. Pollard", head of a household at Lincoln County, Kentucky. His given age was 42 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was a widower, and was a farmer. Also enumerated in his household were John Samuel Pollard, George M. Pollard, Martha E. Pollard, Amanda A. Pollard and Elizabeth King.5

John moved to Sherman, Grayson County, Texas from Lincoln County, Kentucky between 1881 and 1883.2

The twelfth United States census was taken in 1900. John was enumerated as "John W. Pollard", head of a household at 421 N. Throckmorton, Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. His given age was 62, and he was said to have been born in December 1837 in Kentucky. He had been married for 18 years. He was a carpenter and had been unemployed for 8 months in the preceding year.      Katherine Pollard was born on 4 September 1872 at Boone County, Missouri.2 She was the daughter of James Perry Pollard and Sarah Ann Crosswhite.1 Katherine married Dr. Robert B. Noe on 17 June 1890.3 Katherine died on 2 March 1955 at age 82 years, 5 months and 26 days at California.2 She was buried at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego County, California.2
     

Katherine was also known as Kate Pollard.1
