The tenth United States census was taken in 1880. Sarah was enumerated in the household of Joseph Littrell as his mother, "Sarah Littrell", at Saling Township, Audrain County, Missouri. Her given age was 58 and her given place of birth was Missouri.9

The cause of Sarah's death was gastritis.1
