     Sarah Massey was born on 17 March 1814 at Anderson District, South Carolina.1 She was the daughter of Silas Massey and Nancy (?).1 Sarah married William Sanford Shaw on 25 December.2 Sarah died on 17 March 1900 at age 86 years.1

     Silas Massey was born on 6 March 1776 at North Carolina.4 He was the son of Noel Massey and Lucinda (?).2,3 Silas married Nancy (?) in 1812 at South Carolina.1,5 Silas died on 11 September 1876 at age 100 years, 6 months and 5 days at Anderson County, South Carolina.3,4 He was buried at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Anderson County, South Carolina.3,4
