     Steven Alexander Jones is believed to have been born on 18 May 1839 at North Carolina.6,7 He was the son of William Jones and Nancy (?).4,5 Conflicting evidence places his birth in May 1838 at North Carolina.8 Steven Alexander married Eliza M. (?) circa 1864 at North Carolina.8 Steven died on 25 January 1906 at age 66 years, 8 months and 7 days at South Carolina.6
