     Thomas Howard was born on 16 November 1817 at Madison County, Kentucky.1 Thomas married Elizabeth Shields, daughter of Francis Shields and Lucinda Deatherage, on 11 January 1844 at Howard County, Missouri.2 Thomas died on 28 September 1899 at age 81 years, 10 months and 12 days at Fayette, Howard County, Missouri.3 He was buried at Mount Gilead Cemetery in Fayette, Howard County, Missouri.3

     Arathusa Jane Hubbard was born circa 1820 at Kentucky.3 She was the daughter of Durnett Hubbard.2 Arathusa Jane married Mordecai Turner, son of Thomas Turner and Elizabeth Newland, on 15 October 1840 at Boone County, Missouri.4 Arathusa died on 5 March 1903 at Boone County, Missouri.5 She was buried at Mount Zion Church Cemetery in Boone County, Missouri.6
     

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. Arathusa was enumerated as "Arthusa J. Turner", in the household of Mordecai Turner at Boone County, Missouri. Her given age was 29 and her given place of birth was Kentucky.7

The eighth United States census was taken in 1860. Arathusa was enumerated as "Arthusa Turner", in the household of Mordecai Turner at Rocky Fork Township, Boone County, Missouri. Her given age was 40 and her given place of birth was Kentucky.3

     James Huffman was born circa 1858 at Kentucky.1 James married Lucy Pollard, daughter of Thompson Pollard and Mary Ann Huffman, on 15 February 1883 at Garrard County, Kentucky.2
     

The fourteenth United States census was taken in 1920. James was enumerated as "James Huffman", head of a household at Bryantsville Township, Garrard County, Kentucky. His given age was 62 and his given place of birth was Kentucky. He was married, and was a farmer on a general farm which he owned. He could not read or write. Enumerated with him was his wife, Lucy Huffman. Also enumerated in his household was Leonard Pollard.1

Mary Ann Huffman1

     Mary Ann Huffman was born on 11 September 1831 at Kentucky.1 Mary Ann married Thompson Pollard, son of Granville Pollard and Elizabeth Thompson, on 9 January 1850 at Garrard County, Kentucky.1 Mary died on 8 May 1876 at age 44 years, 7 months and 27 days.2
     

The seventh United States census was taken in 1850. Mary was enumerated as "Mary A. Pollard", in the household of Thompson Pollard at Garrard County, Kentucky. Her given age was 18, and she was said to have been born in Kentucky.3

The cause of Mary's death was a hemmorhage.

The couple was married by James Barnes.4 Martha died on 27 March 1900 at Franklin County, Nebraska.5 She was buried at Naponee Cemetery in Franklin County, Nebraska.5
